Welcome to Space Advisory Company

Members of the Space Advisory Company team have contributed in leading roles on a number of South African and international satellite missions. The core of the experience goes back to the South African technology demonstration satellites and the optical payloads on the satellites Sunsat and Sumbandilasat.

The experienced team has since applied their skills in support of a number of international operational small satellite missions that are based on a number of different technology bases. Amongst the latest project being worked on is the new South African operational earth observation satellite.

The Space Advisory Company (SAC) is a satellite programme and systems engineering bureau situated in Cape Town, South Africa. Our programme management and systems engineering expertise specialise in adding value to satellite programmes through facilitating solutions for customers on missions, systems and sub-system levels.

The Space Advisory Company is an equal opportunity, privately owned organisation. The Company was founded in 2009 by Dr. Sias Mostert and Mr. Ferdi Herbst, who collectively combine more than thirty-five years of experience in satellite technology, Space and business development. The Space Advisory Company operates vendor independently to enable clear and objective advice and support to its clients.

The specialist personnel of Space Advisory Company honed their skills during various satellite and aerospace programmes in both South Africa and internationally in partnership with a growing number of partners.
